Welcome to
Wave Crest Therapy
Helping you to navigate life's highs and lows
My name is Rachel, thank you for taking the time to learn more about my practice.
I am a pluralistic counsellor, which means I use a flexible and collaborative approach to help you in the best way possible. Instead of relying on just one method, I draw from a variety of therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic therapy, Humanistic approaches, and mindfulness techniques. Together, we will explore different strategies and find what works best for you, creating a personalised path to support your well-being.
As a registered and accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), I am committed to upholding their ethical standards and best practices, ensuring that you receive the highest quality of care.
With over 15 years of experience as a pastoral support professional in secondary schools, I have provided emotional and practical support to neurodivergent and neurotypical students and their families, helping them with various challenges. This work has deepened my appreciation for the vital role of support during difficult times.
I continue to work part-time as a school counsellor, and I have also had the privilege of supporting adults who have experienced homelessness. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the transformative power of compassion and non-judgmental listening in helping people regain stability and hope.
